What are some of Dress for Success’ initiatives?

For International Women’s Day within Australia, they are running their ‘Empower Hour’ campaign that encourages donations specifically for career and professional development sessions run by experts in the field. Dress for Success have asked individuals interested in donating to pledge one hour of pay to help a woman overcome the barrier of unemployment and support her journey to financial independence. Some of the goals driving this campaign are the gender pay gap, the cost of living, and the threat of financial insecurity on wellbeing.

On top of this, Dress for Success has had various initiatives across the globe. They have clothing drives that welcome donations of women’s professional attire. During Black History Month, their Instagram feed was full of personal spotlights on some of their black employees. They also encourage volunteers and influencers to work with them on their campaigns, so you can get involved in your local area!
